JOINTLY DEVELOPED
To understand how working together can benefit your child, it is first important to understand the district and school’s goals for student academic achievement.
THE SCHOOL DISTRICT OF PHILADELPHIA GOALS:
- 65% of 3rd-8th grade students will be proficient on the state ELA assessment by August 2025. In August 2019, 35.7% of students were proficient.
- 62% of 3rd grade students will be proficient on the state ELA assessment by August 2025. In August 2019, 32.5% of students were proficient.
- 52% of 3rd-8th grade students will be proficient on the state math assessment by August 2025. In August 2019, 21.5% of students were proficient.
- By August 2025, 52% of high school students at the end of 11th grade will be proficient on all three state high school assessments (Algebra, Literature, and Biology). 22.2% of students were proficient in August 2019.
- 80% of Career and Technical Education (CTE) students will pass an industry standards-based competency assessment by the end of 12th grade. In August 2019, 49.9% of students passed.
FRANKFORD HIGH SCHOOL’S GOALS:
School Goal 1: At least 16% of students will score proficient/advanced on the Literature Keystone.
School Goal 2: At least 8% of students will score proficient/advanced on the Algebra Keystone
School Goal 3: At least 7% of students will score proficient/advanced on the Biology Keystone
School Goal 4: At least 54% of 12th grade Career and Technical Education (CTE) students will pass an
industry standards-based competency assessment
School Goal 5: At least 43% of all students will attend school 90% of days or more
School Goal 6: At least 88% of students will have zero out-of-school suspensions
School Goal 7: At least 67% of students will graduate with their 4-year cohort
School Goal 8: At least 65% of first-time 9th grade students will be on-track to graduate with their 4-year cohort

SCHOOL/TEACHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
The teachers of Frankford High School will:
Be responsible for ensuring that staff meet the needs of their students by implementing research based, high quality, differentiated instruction.
Teachers will continue to update Infinite Campus so parents can be informed about their child’s academic progress.
We, as Frankford High School parents, will:
- Actively monitor our child’s attendance and lateness. Parents/guardians will send in notes when a child is absent within 3 days.
- Parents/guardians will commit to support their child’s progress and academic achievement.
- Parents/guardians will attend meetings to provide input during School Advisory Council and Title I meetings, when available.
- Parents/guardians will continue to review student progress regularly through the Parent Portal.
- Parents/guardians will attend school events, meetings, and workshops in order to build their capacity.
STUDENT RESPONSIBILITIES:
We, as Frankford High School Students, will:
- Attend school every day and on time.
- Attend all classes, review grades on a regular basis, ask for assistance when needed, and attend credit recovery if it is needed.
- Complete homework and projects on time.
- Bring home documents to parents/guardians when required.
- Respect themselves, each other, and school staff at all times.
